This season, I’m focused on my position as the Forwards Coach, alongside the second-row position if game day calls! In my youth, I played both codes but always favoured union; the running in league wasn’t my cup of tea. After years away from the game, I rediscovered my passion while assisting my son’s coach. I initially joined the RFU pitch up and play sessions, and the rugby bug bit me once again.

My journey with the Wasps began when I encountered the team at a pitch up and play event, offering a helping hand with their training. Witnessing their evolution into the cohesive unit we are today has been truly rewarding. The team’s camaraderie is unparalleled; everyone is incredibly supportive. Whether you need a listening ear or a quick favour, the team is always there. Daz, in particular, is the go-to person for swift assistance.

To me, Wasps represent a family. We all get along so well that on most weekends, you’ll find a few of us mischief-makers together. The team is warm and always open to new members. Even my wife got pulled into our circle; from being the team’s photographer, she transitioned into the role of our physio. I can only say this: come meet us, and you’ll understand. You might just fall in love with the Wasps, just like I did once upon a time.
